Two black surfaces blacken the room. Like censor bars, scaled up to human size, they seem to float above the ground, isolated and devoid of context. Even their own substance is obscured; the asphalt paint seeps into the concrete. The architectural moments in the work reveal gestures of censorship in public space, and question a fragile democratic visibility.
